Veneer
Our line
of Phenolic Impregnated Kraft paper backed, flexed, and sanded
veneer sheets are designed especially for the craftsmen that
do not have hot press capabilities. These sheets are mechanically
tenderized to allow easy application to flat and curved surfaces
with a sharp radius. This unique process breaks down the woods
natural fibers and relaxes the internal stresses that cause
veneer to be rigid and brittle. When the wood is flexed, it's
possible to construct even plywood that will remain flat.
The unique construction of these veneer sheets provides a
tough product that is easy to handle and can be trimmed to
the needed size with a razor knife or scissors.
Fleece
Backed Veneer Sheets are the most economical tenderized and
sanded veneer sheet products available on the market. Because
the veneers are bonded to the 50 gram per square yard non-woven
white fleece with PVA glue (either hot melt or liquid PVA
adhesive must be used). This product
is available in 2' to 4' widths and up to 10' lengths.
Wonder
Inter-ply Cross Band
WIP
is a product with a unique patent pending process that provides
for a very dimensionally stable two-ply cross grain construction.
WIP products have excellent bending characteristics across
the grain of the face. WIP is the ideal product for architectural
applications requiring cross-banded construction. It may be
bonded to a variety of flat or gently curved substrates using
contact cements, hot melt PVA and other adhesives. The face
is sanded to 150 grit unless otherwise specified and is available
in a variety of dimensions.
A Peel
and Stick backer is available as an add on for our flexed
veneer products. There are some width restrictions, so please
call and discuss your application with us.
Wood Veneer Edgebanding
Our Edgebanding
department has a definite advantage over the competition because
we purchase only those veneers that closely adhere to our
formal specifications directly from the vast inventory of
our departmentally linked Veneer Face plant. The acceptable
veneer is butt matched and color / grain matched at points
of transition from one flitch to another. We produce a nearly
invisible staggered finger joint that is closely inspected
over lights to ensure that only good tight joints are allowed
into our finished products. We use only the highest quality,
fully PVA impregnated fleece to reinforce our veneers and
very closely monitor our lamination process for consistent
bond quality. All edgebanding is re-inspected several times
before it is poly bagged and boxed for shipment. Poly bagging
ensures stable moisture content and excellent shelf life without
the veneer / fleece bond degrading due to changes in humidity.Our
fleece backed and sanded quality wood Veneer Edgebanding comes
in 660' rolls and our PVA hot melt pre-coated rolls are 330'
long. The Minimum order size for the pre-coated veneers is
two rolls and for the normal fleece backed it's one roll.
